Caramelised Red Onion Cheesy Tartlets


This super quick and easy dish is perfect to serve as an appetizer at a party or a deleiocious snack.

The crispy filo pastry has been filled with our Red Onion Cheddar and Caramleised Red Onion Chutney, along with some salmi for the perfect pairing.

You will need: 

  • 12 whole Baking tin
  • Knife
  • Spoon



Ingredients:

  • 180g Chuckling Cheese Caramelised Red Onion Cheddar
  • 70g Chuckling Cheese Munchie's Mighty Mature Cheddar
  • 6 tbsp Chuckling Cheese Caramelised Onion Chutney
  • 12 slices of Salami
  • 5 Filo Pastry sheets, cut into 12 squares per sheet



Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas mark 4.
  2. Grease a bun tray with butter.
  3. Cut your Filo Pastry into even squares and line each cavity of the bun tray with 5 layers of the pastry.
  4. Place one slice of salami onto the base of each pastry cavity to create a base for the tartlet.
  5. Chop your Chuckling Cheese Caramelised Red Onion Cheddar into small squares, approximately 3cm wide, and place one in each tartlet.
  6. Crumble a little Chuckling Cheese Munchie's Mighty Mature Cheddar on top for a strong, tangy flavour that pairs with red onion perfectly.
  7. Place 1/2 tbsp of Chuckling Caramelised Onion Chutney on top of each.
  8. Place in the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt.
  9. Serve warm to all your cheese loving guests to snack on.
